Coachella Valley Horse Rescue

About the Organization

Coachella Valley Horse Rescue (CVHR) needs your help to continue our outreach with equine assisted programs to veterans and children. Our educational program budget has been severely impacted by the extraordinarily high costs for feed and an increased supply of surrendered horses. CVHR has grown from providing shelter for rescued horses to developing and successfully offering equine assisted programs, like "Horsinalities™ 101" youth camps for underprivileged youth and "Veterans Horsinalities™ Boot Camp" for our veteran residents. We see every day the value our horses bring to all these efforts and the contributions our programs make to the pursuit of healing.

The ranch operates year-round to feed, shelter and care for rescued horses. We rely on a large group of volunteers from the community for the care of our horses and operation of the ranch, seven days a week. We offer volunteer opportunities to adults in need of community service hours. In addition, we offer a variety of programs and services, including youth camps for underprivileged children, veterans programs, horseback riding lessons, and open houses for the community.
