Desert Community Foundation

Empowering the Coachella Valley Through Philanthropy.

Founded in 1999, the Desert Community Foundation (DCF) is dedicated to fostering philanthropy and supporting the vibrant communities of the Coachella Valley.  Founded with an initial grant from the California Community Foundation, DCF focuses on enhancing local philanthropy by managing various funds, including Donor Advised Funds, scholarship programs, and endowments. With over $123 million in assets under management and nearly $25 million distributed in local grants, DCF serves as a cornerstone for charitable giving in our region.

Our mission is clear: to create a healthy and educated Coachella Valley through strategic partnerships with local donors, nonprofits, and community members. By facilitating a range of giving options—including Donor Advised Funds, tailored scholarship programs, through CV Giving —we empower individuals to make meaningful contributions that address local needs.

At DCF, we understand the unique challenges and extraordinary potential of our community. We strive to connect the generosity of our donors with the aspirations of our local organizations and residents. Our commitment extends beyond financial support; we provide guidance and expertise to ensure that every dollar is used effectively to foster positive change.

Join us in our mission to build a brighter future for the Coachella Valley. Together, we can strengthen our communities, uplift our youth through education, support our non-profits in their missions and promote the well-being of all residents.
